"Look, my daughter, at my Heart, surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce me at
very moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console me, and say that I promise
to assist at the hour of death, with the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday
of five consecutive months, shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary,
and keep me company for 15 minutes while meditating on the 15 mysteries of the Rosary,
with the intention of making reparation to me.”
Our Lady of Fatima to Sr. Lucia

The Gospel of Life - October 23

Join us on Friday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. in the church for an event commemorating the 25th anniversary of Pope St. John Paul II’s encyclical Evangelium Vitae—The Gospel of Life. Fr. Matthew Kauth and Fr. Peter Ascik will be delivering catechesis and preaching on the importance of this work. In The Gospel of Life, Pope John Paul II clearly points out the threats to life we face in our time, such as abortion, euthanasia, and assisted suicide. He also gives us a plan for creating a new culture of life: prayer and fasting, contemplation of the beauty of God’s gift of life, evangelization, and ultimately conversion to Jesus Christ.

Financial Update
We understand that financial hardships are all around us, especially when so many businesses are closed.  As a parish, we rely on our weekly offertory to help pay our bills:  heating, air conditioning, maintenance, administrative, etc.  Without you, we would be in dire straights.  If you can, please continue to give. You can mail your offertory envelope, drop it off when you visit to pray, but online giving is the easiest.

Church Cleaning & Disinfecting
We are having the church disinfected with a hospital grade disinfectant twice a week by a professional cleaning company, and we have also left spray disinfectant bottles in the narthex.  If you come to pray, please use the disinfectant bottles to help us keep the church clean by spraying down the part of the pew you use for your visit to Our Lord.  Thanks!

Do You Need a Mask?
Do you need a mask? E-mail us at church@khxea.nbomb2017.com and we'll connect you with a parishioner who is making them! We also have a limited supply in the Narthex.

Parishioner Pandemic Support
Do you have the ability to aid those in need during this difficult time?  There are many parishioners that need support.  If you are able to help, please submit the following form, and we will be in touch with needs that have come to our attention.

Sunday Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas

Sunday Mass Times are Saturday 5:30 p.m. (Vigil), 7:30 a.m. 9:30 a.m. 11:30 a.m. (Latin) and 5:00 p.m.

Please note that Bishop Jugis has the Sunday Obligation lifted. You still do not need to attend Mass if you are high risk, immuno-compromised, care for those who are, or are feeling ill in any sense. If this is the case, we encourage you to watch our 9:30 a.m. live stream.

Please exercise prudence when attending Mass:

Observe proper distancing between different families

Stay Home if anyone in your family is sick, even with a cold

Utilize the full lenght of the pew instead of the ends.  Ushers may ask you to slide toward the middle to accomodate more of your fellow parishioners. Avoid climbing or passing by others, even during Communion

Show patience and charity to others around you

Wipe down the pew when you leave church

Follow our previous method of lining up and recieving Holy Communion

For reference, the Vigil and 5:00 p.m. has more space for attendance. You can also continue to sit in the Courtyard if you are concerned about spacing and Coronavirus
